Machine Fitness is an athletics brand that, for the non-professional athlete, remains a little under the radar.
However, it’s a brand of passion that creates fitness clothes for everyone – not just for the professionals. Some sports brands are specific to a particular sport while others concentrate on the market as a whole. Machine Fitness has worked hard to build a reputation that’s not limited to professionals in order to make sporting wear much more accessible to everyone. In fact, the brand has been so successful they have their own ‘pro Machines’, who are skilled, professional athletes who support the brand.
About the brand
Although Machine Fitness is a UK-based brand, they have a worldwide following and offer delivery of their products all over the world. Machine Fitness was started because there are no other brands that offer clothing which encourages the passion and energy that you experience when training in the gym, or that encourage you to push yourself harder each and every time you train. The people behind the brand aim to provide gym clothes that are not only suitable for exercise but also everyday wear too. Just as importantly, they’re affordable and look great. From their brand name ‘Machine Fitness’, two slogans were fashioned: ‘Train Like A Machine’ and ‘Go Machine Mode’.
Sponsored “Machines”
You’d expect any big sports brand to have endorsed or sponsored athletes and celebs of the sporting world and Machine Fitness is no different. In fact, one of their sponsored Machines, Cat Trentham, came up with the brand ethics. “Standing dripping in a puddle of your own sweat; palpitations so strong that your heart feels ready to burst through your chest, and a mental fatigue so acute that every emotion you never knew you even had, feels ready to come pouring out of you. This is me. At the end of every workout. Training intensely is a funny thing – for me it is just as tiring mentally as it is physically. The level of focus required takes a lot of energy – especially if you are training for a specific sport/competition. Never losing sight of your goal can be exhausting; but ultimately it is the key to success. Machine mode to me is something intrinsic: it’s a state of mind. It’s the ability to keep powering through when your body is screaming for you to stop. It’s about pushing yourself to your maximum; fighting the pain; fighting the accumulation of lactic acid in your muscles and it’s fighting the urge to stop.” Other sponsored Machines include: Ross Dickerson: Professional tennis coach and fitness pro Luke Carson: Ireland’s number one artistic gymnast Dan Yeomans: Personal trainer, British Championship Men’s Physique competition entrant Darryl Taylor: Fitness model Gaz Liddon: Machine Fitness Ambassador, Men’s Physique competition entrant When on the road to total fitness always remember: “It does not matter what you do or who you are. You don’t have to look like a machine to Train Like A Machine.”
